Virunga national park is one of the oldest conservation areas east of the Democratic Republic of Congo in the Albertine Rift Valley.  A quarter of the individual mountain Gorillas call the Virunga Jungle Home; and visitors can track and find them feeding, locomoting, or relaxing at their different territories.

Encountering these creatures is such as rare opportunity, after which you will flavor with a cultural or plantation tour.  Pickup, drop-off, meals, and accommodation are sorted.

You will check in to the park headquarters for Registration, and obtaining the trekking permit, before proceeding to your lodge for late Lunch. Thereafter you will have the evening all for yourself; relaxing, or visiting the plantations around the park. End the day with dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking

Today; you will wake up very early in the morning to a Lip-smacking breakfast meal at the lodge; followed by a transfer to the park headquarters for registration and a pre-trekking briefing by the ranger guides.

Mountain Gorillas are only in the continent of Africa; thus such a privilege to encounter them in their natural habitat. The ranger guide will explain the trekking rules, and then assign a gorilla group to track.

Well guided, and with all senses alert, you will pass via the place the Gorillas were last seen the previous day, then to where they are suspected to be.

This lasts for approximately 1-6 hours, plus an extra hour watching and taking photos of their unique characteristics. This trek also exposes you to several other birds, botany, and primates. After trekking, you will withdraw from the Jungle for Lunch, and then a transfer to your drop-off point at Kigali Rwanda or Goma.
