Day 1: Pickup and a Kigali City Tour
Upon arriving for your Trip today, enjoy the lovely welcome by our company representative, who will, in turn, accompany you on this tour. After the briefing, you will visit the Genocide memorial to commemorate the over 25,000 Tutsi and Hutu who lost their lives in the 1994 ethnic conflict in Rwanda, the local markets, and the city Museum to mention but a few, but not forgetting lip-smacking lunch meal. Thereafter drive to your lodge for the lodge for dinner and overnight
Day 2: Drive to Nyungwe National park
With the morning sun that brings light to this world, start your day with breakfast, followed by a drive to Nyungwe national park; a true primate hub; with over 13 primates dominated by chimpanzees. You will have an en-route stopover at Nyanza palace for an insight into the Rwandese cultural norms and practices. As the drive gets better, you will be admiring the flourishing landscape and undulating hills all way to your lodge for dinner and overnight. Lunch is en-route
Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking and canopy walk
After an early morning breakfast meal at the lodge, you will get to the park for a chimpanzee trekking registration and the ultimate exercise. Chimpanzee trekking lasts for roughly 1-6 hours, with an encounter, not only with the chimps, but also several other primates such as the grey-cheeked managabeys, Columbus monkeys, and many more, birds, and several unique plant species to mention but a few. After the chimpanzee trekking, you will return to the lodge for lunch, followed by an exciting canopy walk for about 2 hours. Thereafter, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Transfer to Volcanoes national park
At sunrise, greet your intestines with a lip-smacking breakfast meal at the lodge, and then checkout for a transfer to volcanoes national park; home to the Gorillas in the northern part of Rwanda. You will arrive at the park in the evening, heading for late lunch at your lodge, followed by refreshment, dinner, and overnight.
Day 5: Gorilla trekking and Twin lakes
After early morning breakfast at the lodge, you will transfer to volcanoes park headquarters; for registration and document verification. There are a quarter of the individual mountain gorillas here, but you will seek to find the one family assigned to. The trekking can last for approximately 1-6 hours; plus an added hour to take photos, watch the interactions, and ask the ranger guide questions. Thereafter you will have a lunch break, followed by a visit to the Twin Lake for the evening. Return to the lodge late in the evening for dinner and a nap.
Day 6: Golden Monkey trekking and cultural tour
Wake up to an early breakfast meal today and thereafter proceed to the park headquarters for another pre trekking briefing. This days focus is on one of the loveliest and most active creatures in the Jungle; the golden monkeys. Trekking them comes with lots more to admire in the Jungle, notably; plants, forest mammals, and primates. The search lasts for about 1-4 hours, plus an extra hour for watching them. Thereafter you will return to the lodge for lunch, followed by a cultural tour at Ibylwucu cultural community; interacting, dancing, and conversing with the local natives
Day 7: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
At daybreak, you will have a lunch break at the lodge, before checking out for a transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park in the western part of Uganda. You will have a stopover at the scenic Uganda-Rwanda Border post for document verifications, and then the other for Lunch. Arrival at the lodge is late in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Game drive and Boat cruise
On this day, you will depart the lodge for a very early morning game drive; looking out for the night hunters and day grazers; an activity which lasts for about 3-4 hours. The notable residents include; lions, leopards, elephants, zebras, giraffes, and Antelopes among others; Birds such as the cranes, egrets, Turacos, and lovebirds, and the plants to mention but a few. Thereafter have a bush breakfast, before having a lunch break, followed by a boat cruise at Kazinga channel; 2-3 hours of spotting aquatic birds, school of crocodiles, and hippos among others. Thereafter you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Transfer to Semuliki Valley National Park & Nature Walk
You will start this day with a Lip-smacking breakfast meal, before checking out of the lodge for a transfer to Semiliki national park; one of the smallest yet very rewarding parks in Uganda. The drive to semiliki is brief and runs on the backdrop of the snowcapped mountain Rwenzori, Hills, and the flourishing plantations. You will check-in for Lunch, followed by an evening set apart for a guided nature walk, and refreshment. End of the day with dinner and a nap
Day 10: Full Day bird watching
After an early morning breakfast meal, you will dedicate the entire day to bird watching. There are about 40% of Uganda’s bird species here, with some of the most sought-after species such as the sitatunga, the shoebill stock, cranes, Turacos, and several others. A very knowledgeable guide will be present from the start to the end of the birding exercise; except at Lunchtime. Thereafter you will return to the lodge for dinner overnight.
Day 11: Fly to Nairobi Kenya
After a remarkable experience in the Republic of Uganda, it is important to start this day with a yummy breakfast meal at the lodge, followed by a transfer to Entebbe international airport for a flight to Nairobi Kenya. A stopover at the equator will be for some refreshment, Lunch, and photographer. Our company representative will gladly meet and pick you up at Nairobi Kenya; briefing and then a drive to the lodge for dinner and a nap
Day 12: Transfer to Nakuru
After an early morning cup of coffee, you will check out of the Lodge for Lake Nakuru national park. You will have a city tour for about an hour, watching the magnificent buildings; visiting historical sites and local markets to mention but a few. Thereafter proceed with the drive to the park, watching the captivating landscape, plantations and so much more. You will spend about 30 minutes at the Great Rift Valley; thereafter proceed to the lodge for late lunch, followed by refreshment and a nap.
Day 13: Full day game drive and bird watching
From the start of the time after breakfast meal, the camera and eyes are put to work; start with the mammals, plants, and the captivating landscape in their natural habitat. Lake Nakuru national park hosts a collection of mammals, notable; elephants, buffalos, warthogs, lions, and several other antelope species to mention but a few. You will have a lunch break, followed by bird watching at the shoreline of Lake Nakuru; decorated by the pink flamingos and several other aquatic Birds. Have a sunset drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight
Day 14: Transfer to Masai Mara national park
After a lip-smacking breakfast meal at the lodge, you will check out for a transfer to Masai Mara national park, through the Great Rift Valley; where you will stop for some photos. The next stopover is at the Nurus Centre for Lunch, before arriving at your lodge late in the evening for dinner and a nap.
Day 15: Full day Game drive
After an early morning breakfast meal at the lodge, you will check out for a full-day game drive in the vast Masai Mara wilderness. Masai Mara is an extension of the vast Serengeti national park in Tanzania. The Full day game drive will expose you to the flora and fauna in the wilderness, notably the lions, leopards, cheetah, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, and Rhinoceros among others; birds such as the ostrich, egrets, and flamingoes among others. You will have a picnic lunch, and a little rest, before exploring the Mara River; with the crocodiles, and hippos among others. The day ends with dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 16: Transfer to Serengeti national park
After having an early morning breakfast meal at the lodge, you will checkout for a drive to Serengeti national park; one of the finest conservation areas in Africa. The drive to the park is gifted with the flourishing landscape and plantations. You will cross the Magnificent Tanzania-Kenya border post, have Lunch, and then proceed with the scenic drive to your lodge in or around the park for dinner and overnight.
Day 17: game drive and Bird watching
Start your day with a very early morning game drive; with hopes of spotting the nocturnal creatures and day grazers. These are; the buffalos, zebras, wildebeest, warthogs, Rhinos, different Antelope species, and giraffes among others. Lions, hyenas, leopards, and other cats are present though hard to find. Serengeti national park is also renowned for the wildebeest migration, thus on a lucky day you might collide with this magnificent animal migration; one of the natural wild wonders. You will have Bush breakfast and then return to the lodge for lunch, followed by an evening birding experience in the evening. End the day with dinner and overnight.
Day 18: morning nature walk and cultural adventure
Start this day with an early morning breakfast meal and then head for a 3-4 hour guided nature walk through the designated trails. The guided nature walk exposes you to a wide range of botany, and as well the breathtaking landscape. Get rest with Lunch, before visiting the local Maasai warriors; renowned herdsmen. Return to the lodge with a sunset game drive for dinner and overnight.
Day 19: Drive to Ngorongoro crater-Olduvai gorge
After having your lip-smacking breakfast meal at the lodge, you will check out for a transfer to Ngorongoro crater, via Olduvai Gorge; a place where the fossils of those believed to be the first Inhabitants of the world; zingerthrupus. Watch the beautiful landscape in the countryside to the Park, after which you will check-in to your lodge for Late Lunch. The evening is for relaxing, and optional bird watching, as the sunset arrives with dinner and a nap
Day 20: morning game drive and top of the crater hike
Today, you will wake up to an early morning game drive in the savannah pasture of Ngorongoro. As the prey, predators, and birds among others take control of their territories; you may chance the sight and sound of; several antelope species, cheetah, Buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, and Rhinos among others. Lions, leopards, and hyenas are at the park but hard to find. You will have a bush breakfast, and Lunch thereafter, before having a crater hike. Ngorongoro crater has one of the largest calderas on earth, and hiking to the summit offers amazing views of the captivating landscape, flora, and fauna. At sunset, you will drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 21: Departure
After an early morning breakfast meal, you will check out of the lodge for an exit drive to the airport for your flight. If time allows, you can have an activity this early morning; probably a game drive, or a guided nature walk.
