Day One: Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park
Morning departure from Kampala for Murchison Falls Conservation Area through Luwero, Nakasongola. An en-route stopover to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary that is a habitat to the only rhinos in the wild in Uganda.
Here, you will track rhinos in their habitants after over 30yrs extinction in Uganda. The sanctuary has become increasingly popular with tourists; for rhino trekking, bird watching, nature walks, and relaxation.
Proceed to Masindi for lunch and thereafter, continue to Murchison Falls arriving in the evening in time for check-in, dinner, and overnight.
Day One: Game Viewing and Boat Cruise in Murchison Falls National Park
Morning game drive in the vast open savannah grasslands of the park! Look out for giraffes, buffaloes, elephants, lions, leopards, Jackson’s hartebeests, warthogs, and patas monkeys among others. The birdlife is also rich with common sights of crated cranes, herons, eagles, fish eagles, and owls among other bird species, especially in the delta section. Return to the lodge for breakfast followed by a short rest awaiting your lunch.
Resting after lunch, have a boat cruise on the placid Victoria Nile. En route, you will see hippos, crocodiles, waterbuck, and a wide variety of birds like the unusual shoebill stork. Retire at your preferred accommodation in time for dinner and overnight.
Day Three: Return to Kampala
Morning breakfast, check out and drive back to Kampala via the top of the falls where you can see the Nile’s perfect gorgeousness, and sensation as it compresses and constricts for over a kilometer wide down through a 7-meter chasm dropping 40 meters with a thunderous roar creating a beautiful rainbow, a plume of spray and the best thing that happened to the Nile…” the Murchison Falls“. Take pictures of the photogenic and majestic Murchison Falls! Continue to Kampala with drop-off at your hotel or residence.
