The park is very safe, and has a wide range of flora and fauna, water bodies, birds, and accommodation facilities.

Day 1: Pickup; Kigali city tour and drive to Akagera National Park
On arrival of the long-awaited day; our amazing smart company representative will pick you up for the four-day visit to one of the destinations rich in flora and fauna; the only savannah park in the country. You will have a Kigali city tour, lunch in the city and take a 2-3 hour drive to Akagera National Park. Arrive and check in to the lodge for refreshment, dinner and a nap.
Day 2: Full day game drive
This entire day is dedicated to a rewarding game drive after early morning breakfast. The wildlife viewing is done on an open roofed vehicle through different regions of the park; while watching breathtaking landscape, plants and plantations. Mammals and other creatures in the park roam, thus the aspect of luck is necessary to encounter your most sought-after mammals; be it lions, leopards, zebras, elephants, Oribis, Jackson hartebeest, hyenas and warthogs among others.
Besides the cats, other mammals are also easily encountered. You will have a picnic lunch meal, followed by a little rest, before the last game search, dinner, and a nap
Day 3: Bird watching and Lake Ihema boat tour
After greeting your intestines with a hefty breakfast meal at the lodge, you will depart the lodge to Join an experienced birding expert for a 3- 4 hour birding experience. The activity is done on foot, through a designated safe trail. There are over 300 unique bird species in Akagera N/Park for you to fall in love with; inclusive of the sunbirds, Turacos, warbler, egrets, Turacos and love birds among others.
Thereafter, you will have a lunch break, before the evening arrives with something special; a 2-hour rewarding boat ride at Lake Ihema. While on this boat cruise, you take in a fresh breath, watch the hippos, crocodiles, aquatic birds, and several other mammals on the lake shores to mention but a few. End this day in style with dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Departure
You will start your day with a yummy breakfast at the lodge. You will checkout of the lodge for a drive to the airport for a flight back home. City tour in Kigali is encouraged for late departures.
