The 7 Days Bwindi & Ngorongoro Safari leads visitors to two wonderful East African safari destinations – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in south-western Uganda for riveting gorilla trekking experience and Ngorongoro Conservation Area in Tanzania’s northern circuit for unforgettable game viewing experience with chances of seeing big five animals. This one-week safari kicks-off from Entebbe International Airport and ends in Arusha Airport.

Day 1: Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, south-western Uganda

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is your first destination of the 7 days Bwindi & Ngorongoro Safari and on the first day you will be transferring to this wonderful safari destination.

Meet and greet from the agreed pick-up point in Kampala or Entebbe then embark on the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, south-western Uganda. This 8-9 hours’ journey involves en-route lunch at Igongo Cultural center and arrival to Bwindi is in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Trekking mountain gorillas in Bwindi forest

The second day is the highlight of this one-week safari with a chance to meet the Giant Apes in their natural habitat. Depending on the location of the Lodge, you will either move or be driven to the Park Headquarters for a morning briefing before the trek and at this point you are excited and enthusiastic to meet the mountain gorillas. You will meet them after 1-4 hours of searching through the forest and one hour will be spent around them taking photos, recording videos and observing their daily routine.

Continue to the Lodge for late Lunch as well as refreshment and in the evening undertake a cultural tour where you will learn about their unique dressing, cultural dances and souvenirs. Be at your lodge before nightfall for an amazing dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Return back to Entebbe Town

A hot cup of tea/coffee will start off your cold morning in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and later meet with your safari driver for a journey to Entebbe town. Arrival in the Town is before nightfall, Lunch en-route and immediately check in at a hotel.

Day 4: Fly from Entebbe International Airport to Arusha Airport

After breakfast at your Entebbe Hotel, catch a flight to Arusha Airport and check-in at a Hotel in Arusha Town for relaxation. Explore the exciting tourist sites in Arusha Town such as the Natural History Museum, tours of the Maasai local markets for souvenirs and is time allows visit the Meserani Snake Park.

Day 5: Travel to Ngorongoro Conservation Area via Serengeti National Park

Embark on a journey to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a stop at Serengeti National Park, also within the northern circuit. Serengeti National Park is the most popular tourist destination in Tanzania and is renowned for the Great Migration involving millions of wildebeests, gazelles and zebras. During this game drive, you will come across spotted hyenas, impalas, cheetahs, elephants, lions, black rhinos and Kobs among others. A picnic Lunch will be within the Park and continue to your Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Continue to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Immediately after breakfast at your Serengeti Tented Camp or Safari Lodge, continue to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and drive 600-meters into the Ngorongoro Crater. From here you will come across zebras, black rhinos, common elands, jackals, Cape buffaloes, cheetahs, spotted hyenas and leopards among others.

The drive through this conservation Area also leads to Lake Magadi where hundreds of pink flamingos and other beautiful bird species will be spotted. Be booked in one of the Tented Camps or Safari Lodges in Ngorongoro Conservation Area for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Leave Ngorongoro Conservation Area, back to Arusha Town

Have breakfast and exit Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a game drive. The amount of time spent on this activity depends on your flight schedule but be prepared to encounter more wildlife species especially big five, giraffes, impalas and warthogs.

Continue with your journey to Arusha Town/Airport with stops at Craft markets to purchase some souvenirs. This marks the end of your 7 days Bwindi gorilla trekking & Ngorongoro wildlife safari.
