Also, look for lions in Queen Elizabeth National Park as the crocodiles and hippos crowd on banks of Kazinga channel and Albert Nile.

A drive to Sempaya hot springs rewards you with great views of the rift valley escarpments, experience the walk to the valleys where the hot springs are located and visit Amabere Ganyinamwiru caves in Fort portal.

Day 1: Pick up from airport and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

On arrival, you will be welcomed by an experienced guide / driver assigned to you by our company and then quickly take you to Murchison falls national park after a short briefing. While on the way, there is an option to visit the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary in case time allows and this will be a start of wildlife viewing. This is the only area in Uganda where Rhinos can be found roaming in the wild.

Later proceed to Murchison falls national park after purchasing some fruits you will enjoy the next day during game drives. On arrival, you will take a drive through the park as you find your lodge while spotting animals like buffaloes, lions, herds of elephants, warthogs, towering giraffes, bushbucks, reedbucks, duikers, kobs, Oribis among others.

Day 2: Game drive and boat cruise

Explore Murchison Falls National Park through a morning game drive in the savannah grassland where you will be able to watch animals like waterbucks, bushbucks, warthogs, olive baboons, elephants, giraffes, buffalos among others. The scenery is great while taking this game drive that lasts for 2 to 3 hours. The game drive takes you to the hippo pool on Albert Nile where you will spot hippos as you enjoy fruits.

After head back to the lodge for lunch or have picnic lunch, followed by a boat cruise along the Albert Nile. This rewards you with more wildlife sightings such as crocodiles, hippos, elephants among others. Then after a 3 hours cruise has an option of hiking on top of the falls which gives eye-catching moments as water squeezes itself through a small cauldron forming a permanent rainbow. Take memorable photos and after head back to the lodge for your dinner.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park

Head for a long drive that can take 5hours to Kibale national park the Primate capital of the world. The park is home to 13 primates include in chimpanzees out fellow cousins that we share 98% of DNA.

There is a lot to do and spot while you take a visit to this park, because of the unique biodiversity of the park such as the different tree species like mahogany, Prunus Africana among others over 350 bird species such as green breasted pittas, turacos, Crowned Eagle, Red-chested Owlet, Western Nicator, Black Bee-eater, Yellow-rumped tinker birds and primates like colobus monkeys, red-tailed and blue monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabey, olive baboon, bush baby and potto among others. This makes it stand out among the research destinations in Africa. Arrive and transfer to the lodge booked for dinner and leisure.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and cultural encounters

Like any other park activity, you will head for briefing at the park offices in Kanyanchu where the dos and don’ts will be told by the Park Warden. Thereafter, with the help of the park ranger guide well-armed for protection will in the forest. Tracking time depends on the location of these primates and an hour will be located to you.

You will spot other primates like black-and-white colobus, bush baby, red-tailed and blue monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, olive baboons and potto. Different bird species sighted here are Black Bee-eaters, Crowned Eagles, green breasted pittas, Western Nicator, Red-chested Owlet, turacos, little greenbul, brown-chested Alethe and Yellow-rumped tinker birds.

After a great adventure, head back to the lodge and enjoy your lunch. Thereafter you will visit Isunga Cultural Community where you will encounter the two unique cultures – Batooro and Bakiga who will entertain you through the dances, music and drama. Like the Runyege for Batooro and Ekizino for Bakiga.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth N/Park and afternoon boat cruise

Transfer to the medley of wonders on the foothills of Rwenzori ranges. Queen Elizabeth National Park is the most sought after national park in the country. The journey passes through the crater lakes, Rwenzori mountain ranges, tea and banana plantations. The park is home to the rare tree-climbing lions and other mammals that can be located in the park which include elephants, leopards, herds of buffaloes, giraffes, warthogs, hyenas, hippos, buffaloes among others.

On arrival, you will head straight for a boat cruise that takes place along Kazinga channel that connects Lake Edward and George. The channel is home to different animals such as hippos, crocodiles among others.

Day 6: Game drive and transfer to Fort portal tourism city. Visit Amabere Ganyinamwiru caves

Have an early morning game drive where you will sight animals like spotted hyenas, leopards, lions among others and as time goes, you will spot Uganda kobs, waterbucks, bushbucks among others, elephant and buffalos roaming, warthogs among others.

Thereafter transfer to Fort portal after 2 hours in the game drive a journey taking 3hours. Fort portal is one of the best towns you need to miss on your safari due to the prevailing climate throughout the year, beautify scenery accompanied by the Rwenzori mountain ranges among others. On arrival, take a visit to the Amabere Ganyinamwiru caves which have the traditional story attached but literary these are the stalagmites and stalactites. After enjoying the Nyakasura falls followed by a hike of one of the hills that gives a great view of the crater lakes, Rwenzori mountain ranges and Fort portal tourism city. Head to the hotel where you will spend a night.

Day 7: Visit Sempaya hot springs and transfer back to Kampala

Wake up a bit early with your packed lunch and then drive through the meandering road of Bundibugyo-Fortportal and have the best viewing points of the rift valley escarpments. The hot springs are located in Semliki national park which is also termed as the birders’ paradise for harboring over 450 bird species. These are forest, savannah and water birds.

Upon reaching, attend the briefing and thereafter head for a walk through the forest and then in the swamp where these magnificent hot springs are located. Enjoy the traditional stories about the male and female hot springs which will be followed by the boiling of an egg or potatoes. After you will embark on the journey back to Kampala, packed lunch enjoyed in the vehicle on your way and the driver guide will drop you at the airport marking the end of this 7 days Uganda safari.
