This 3 Days Kidepo Flying Safari takes you to Kidepo Valley National Park for a Uganda wildlife viewing holiday.

Day One: Entebbe to Kidepo Valley National Park

Check-in at Entebbe airport 1hour 30mins before your 12.30hrs departure flight with Aerolink to Kidepo Valley National Park. The flight arrives at the Kidepo airstrip at 14.45hrs.

Note that flights to Kidepo will operate with a minimum of 7 pax and is only available on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Upon arrival at Kidepo airstrip, transfer to your preferred accommodation for check-in and dropping off luggage.

Thereafter, have an introductory game drive in this amazing national park to catch glimpse of a diverse range of animal species with a list of more than 80 mammal species including 28 species found in no other Ugandan park.

Retire at your lodge in time for dinner and overnight.

Day Two: Whole Day Game Viewing in Kidepo Valley National Park

Have a morning game drive in the wild Narus valley. Look out for dry plains game such as the greater kudu and cheetah along with bat-eared foxes, caracals, and Klipspringers.

Animals less common and perhaps locally extinct are the striped hyena, lesser kudu, Grant’s gazelle, and beisa oryx. Also, other large mammals like elephant, Burchell’s zebra, buffalo, Rothschild giraffe, eland, Jackson’s hartebeest, oribi, Bohor reedbuck, waterbuck, and Kongoni can be spotted in the park.

Plentiful numbers of carnivores such as leopard, lion sunbathing atop rocks, spotted hyena, black-backed and side-striped jackals may also be seen whilst on a game drive.

Kidepo is also home to five different species of primate, including the Kavirondo bush baby, which is endemic to this area.  The dry thorn thicket landscape in the north of the park is home to Guenther’s dik-dik and Senegal galago.

A rich and diverse reptile fauna is also found in the park. For bird lovers, some of East Africa’s rarest and most sought-after birds can be found here such as the black-breasted barbet and Karamoja Apalis. Overnight at your lodge

Day Three: Kidepo Back to Entebbe

Have your last game drive in the park. Look out for buffalo, giraffes, zebras, elands, oribis, and elephants – and even the odd jackal. Your guide may even be able to locate lions, sunbathing atop rocks.

Thereafter, visit the Lorokul cultural group and explore the fascinating, ancient culture of the Karamojong. Visit traditional homesteads, sample local dishes, and hear stories of the folklore of this remote tribe.

Return to the lodge for an early lunch, check out and transfer to Kidepo airstrip in time for a check-in 30mins before your 15.00hrs onward departure flight for a return to Entebbe.
